Summary

Es con esta sonata que Valle-Inclán concluye su tetralogía acerca de las historias del Marqués de Bradomín, al que define diciendo: "Eres el más admirable de los don juanes: feo, católico y sentimental".

Ya en la última parte de su vida, cansado y tras unos breves amores con una de las damas de honor de la reina, por encargo del rey carlista marcha Bradomín en busca de un monje. Es herido y tienen que cortarle un brazo. En su convalecencia le cuida una niña de 14 años más bien feilla y con complejos, a la que él sin embargo con un beso enamora.

Finalmente la abadesa del convento donde Bradomin se recupera, que se da cuenta de la situación, habla con él y le acaba diciendo que aquélla es su propia hija. Pero aun así, Bradomín continúa en sus afanes de seducción.
