About this listen

Building on the foundation laid by Moshe Feldenkrais, Thomas Hanna's groundbreaking work completely redefines the body's potential for withstanding decline. His gentle program for the mind and body proves once and for all that so many problems we accept as inevitable over time -- chronic stiffness, bad back, chronic pain, fatigue, and, at times, even high blood pressure -- need never occur if we maintain conscious control of nerve and muscle, replacing Sensory-Motor Amnesia with Sensory-Motor Awareness. The good news of Somatic Exercise is that most people simply do not have to become captives of age or injury. Once learned, this lifelong program can help almost anyone maintain the pleasures of a supple, healthy body indefinitely, with only a five-minute routine once a day. The explanations of SMA and aging were very interesting. The exercises have made me feel great after 5 days so far but taking them slowly . Haven’t started the daily maintenance exercises yet.

Excellent exercises

Where is the pdf for this book? Mentioned frequently in the text, but cannot find it either in the Kindle app for Android, or on the Audible website using a browser -- which just seems to default to the same interface as used by the Audible app for Android.

This very much lets down an otherwise very good text, as it's impossible to understand what some of it is referring to without visual images. The lack of the pdf is particularly annoying having reached chapter 14, Somatics exercises.

Really eye opening content. I'm looking forward to getting into the exercises. The narrator has a clear voice and everything sounds relevant.
