Incredibly interesting explanation of trauma and it's repercussion regarding the affects it can on humans. How as humans we so badly regulate feelings and how we need to learn how to do that through the tool of somatic therapy. It teaches you how to trust your body not run away from it and dam feeling up on the body. Rather than a cognitive approach it works with the body rather than just understanding how in an intellectual manner trauma works. Somatic therapy helps you to release embedded trauma by feeling and releasing it through the body. This workbook really clarified for me somatic therapy and was really clear and understandable especially with the practice exercises.
