Summary
If you want to know what it takes to navigate any social situation and build meaningful relationships, then keep on reading....
Being a teenager isn’t easy.
You’re going through physical and emotional changes that you’re still trying to understand.
You feel awkward and uncomfortable as you grow into your new body, and the acne, body hair, and growth spurt certainly don’t help.
Add to that the changing relationships you’re having with old friends, encounters with new people, and more pressure and responsibilities in school....
So it’s not surprising that you may feel like you don’t fit in. In fact, it’s totally normal.
Every teen has gone through this, and while every generation of teenagers faces its own challenges, there are some universal experiences that every teen has to deal with.
One of the most difficult things is learning how to interact with others. Because you’re encountering so many new things at this stage in your life, you’re not sure how to act, and you end up either shying away from situations or behaving awkwardly.
By building the social skills in this audiobook, though, you’ll be able to face any situation and overcome common social struggles with confidence.
Inside, you will discover:
- How to become a confident, sociable teen who can interact with anyone, no matter what situation you find yourself in
- The most effective ways to handle peer pressure and step up against bullying
- How empathy will get you a long way in relating with others–and how you can practice empathy in your daily life
- Common struggles teens face and how to deal with them effectively
- How to use social media productively while protecting yourself from its dangers
- The secrets to becoming a likable person without seeming like you’re trying too hard
- And so much more!

The chapter on inclusion was one of my favorites as we as a society need to continue to move forward with being more accepting of who people want to be. Teaching kids that it's okay to be different and it's okay to be accepting of other kids who are different is a good thing. This world has enough problems so trying to teach these kids that being accepting is one effortless thing they can do to make the world better is important. No one person is more important than the next and there is no "right way" to be as a person.
Great job from the author of putting together a book for teens that makes them seen and heard.

In addition, this audiobook acts as a guiding light by providing actionable counsel and experiences that are relatable, which helped me understand that I was not the only person going through the hardships that I was. The most life-changing experiences have come from gaining the skills to resist the influence of peers, cultivating empathy, and making responsible use of social media. This is a beneficial handbook, and you should definitely look into purchasing it.
