My daughter will be a teenager soon and I want to teach her the importance of emotional intelligence. This book had exercises you can do when you feel anxious and many helpful tips to reduce anxiety. Definitely worth a second listen. I would recommended it to any teenager.

This book displayed tips and strategies needed that will help your teen navigate through an already difficult time for most teens “social life”. The book is easy to follow, it's the kind of book you can lift and lay as you work your way through the suggestions, it's a must for adults who need answers on where to support a teen when trying to improve their social skills. There are tons of practical exercises, but my favorites include the power of positive thinking and facing your fears. The author suggested identifying automatic thoughts, mindfulness meditation practices, breathing techniques and many more. A must have in any parent’s collection. Will recommend!!!

The tasks in this audiobook are excellent for reinforcing the topics and are simple to understand. It distinguished between shyness and social anxiety. The author outlined the origins of the damaging quiet behaviors and offered step-by-step social anxiety exercises. Teens who have this challenge of social anxiety or think they need guidance might listen to this audiobook for ways to breakthrough the state they are in. The audiobook does a great job of both outlining practical ways and guiding its reader through it. Even grownups who still struggle with social anxiety should listen to this audiobook, in my opinion.
