Sleeping with the Lights on
I'm not gonna lie, the title made me hesitate a little, is it a romance? is it suspence? It's a little bit of everything in a well written, perfectly paced package. I'm not sure I have heard any of Lili Dubuque's performances before, but she did an amazing job. #AudiobookObsessionReviewer 🎧AudioBookObsession

Easy listen
This book tried to blend the desires of a woman who was trying to find the completeness that had previously eluded her. At the same time she had to make decisions when those from the past reentered her life and choose between the new or the old. The author tried to blend a little mystery into the book. A bit stronger mystery would have been preferred The narrator did a decent job of presentation. This book was provided free of charge with the expectation of an honest review..

"Witty and Cute!!!"
This is the 1st book I've read of Brenda Whiteside and the 1st time I'm hearing narrator Lili Dubuque, and I found myself pleased with both of them. "Sleeping With the Lights On," was a very witty and what I would call a "Cute Adult" comedy romance; with a dash suspense. You have a woman climbing up in age, have a couple of failed marriages under her belt, but still looking for her "Mr. Forever." She in a job she doesn't look forward to going into everyday, a sister who's happily married; so she thinks, and she has a mother who likes to remind her she's not getting any younger, when will she find "Mr. Right, who will be her Mr. Forever." The way the story was being told I thought I was sitting @ the kitchen with a girlfriend hearing all her problems. I did enjoyed the book and believe others will to.

Sleepimg with the lights on
A spell binding read that had me on the edge of my seat wondering what was going to happen next. This is a real page turner. The Narrator has done a fabulous job at bringing out the characters. The Author has done a fantastic job at the world building. The scenes are written so well that I could picture. Them in my mind. I definitely recommend this read. Shauna Joesten

My First Book By This Author
This is my first book by this author, I've never read or listened to anything by her before. The blurb sounded interesting and a story about an older woman finding love for a change appealed so I decided to give it a go, I'm so glad I did. I enjoyed listening to this story about Sandra Holliday, the heroine and her romantic interest in two very different men. She's finally finding herself, after a lifetime some mistakes and a lifetime of searching, she's 50 now so hopefully, her mistakes are behind her. The story had lots of twists and turns some of which I didn't see coming which added to my enjoyment of the story as I do like to be surprised. Who would win her heart, Wesley or Carson or would she choose neither, and what about the redhead? The author did a good job with the characters they were well-drawn and interesting. Sandra's a complex character and I didn't know which way she would go but learning about her failed marriages and romantic relationships, as well as her feelings for her mother and sister added to the story. To make her choices even harder Carson, her ex came back into her life and the attraction between them is still strong will Sandra choose him? You will just have to listen to this one yourself to find out about the stalker, the millionaire and the ex because I'm not giving anything away. The narration is well done by Lili Dubuque her characterisations were good. I was given this audiobook as a gift and am voluntarily writing my review.

Entertaining
Sandra twice divorced, Carson her ex husband, a country singer, married 6 times. Wesley never married, eccentric, insecure multimillionare, Sandra is trying to find out how she fits in with his life. She wants a committed relationship! Can Wesley commit to a monogamous relationship ? Why did Carson come back , he said it was for business, but what was his ulterior motive. Who was stalking her snd sending roses? What did this all mean? Brenda Whiteside story has a surprise twist in the end that I never saw happening. Lili Dubuque is entertaining and i thoroughly enjoyed listening to her narration. She gave each character their own voice and personality. 🎧audiobookobsessionreview

It was an okay listen
Another book filled with mystery, death and murder with some hot romance. I enjoyed the mystery, it has one big surprise that has you rethinking what you read. The book is filled with mystery, fun characters you can relate to. I thought it had a great plot, with meaning. I really like the age of the characters. I thought the narration was okay, there is background noise, no repeating of words, she does drag out her words which makes it hard to listen to. Her character voices are nice, you know who is talking and what they are feeling. It was an enjoyable listen but felt off a little. Her male and female voices are very nice, however I can’t say she gave true emotions since her words dragged. All in all it was an enjoyable listen but just needs some work. I thought the author did a good job pulling the reader in, giving a believable story, with great characters. Was a good plot and did make me smile a few times. I enjoyed the shocking deaths and near deaths, The romance was very touching and nice. The author made me smiles a few times.

strangely intriguing
One paramour is crazy obsessed and Sandra wss emotionally immature (for 50!!!) for most of the story going through men a d relationships like used tissues! She drifts through life with purpose. It takes a lot for Sandra to grow up and find her happy place a d future. I tri4to stop listening, but I had to see where the train wreck known as Sandra ended up. The narrator was good. I voluntarily listened to a free copy and am giving an honest review.

Unexpected Twists!
Brenda Whiteside impressed me with Sleeping with the Lights On. I found the characters to have depth and dimension. I loved the romance and mystery of this book too. The ages of the characters also appealed to me. Lili Dubuque was impeccable with her performance of bringing the characters to life. She gave them distinguishable voices, and I could hear exactly who was speaking. Without giving away spoilers, I hadn't guessed the stalker, and was glad with Sandra's decision in the end.
