When Olivia calls the police to report that her husband and children are missing, she believes she will never see them again.

Editor reviews

Sleep Tight is the chilling new audiobook by the brilliant author Rachel Abbott and narrated by voice artists Melody Grove and Andrew Wincott. Detective Tom Douglas is called in to solve the case of a missing husband and children who disappeared two years earlier. From the second he begins investigating, strange things start happening and the wife of the missing husband vanishes. Is this the case of a family who don’t want to be found? Or is someone trying desperately to cover the tracks of their murderous rage? Available now from Audible.

Where does Sleep Tight rank among all the audiobooks you’ve listened to so far?

Very close to the top - I found it hard to stop listening.

Who was your favorite character and why?

I really like Tom - he's not hard to like - he seems to have an instinct for when the evidence is not what it seems.

Have you listened to any of Melody Grove and Andrew Wincott ’s other performances? How does this one compare?

No I don't think I have - the narration was very good - as an avid Audible listener I really appreciate good narration - it can really make the experience for the listener.

Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?

Yes it definitely was.

Any additional comments?

This is the second book I have listened to by Rachel Abbott - really enjoyed The Back Road but this is even better.

Gripping story - well paced & excellent narration

Really good story, slightly ruined by the male narrator. I felt I could put up with his boring one-tone voice when it was broken up by the other narrator, but the chunk in the middle of the book with just him I struggled with. I found myself not really listening or being sent to sleep by his voice.
However I thoroughly enjoyed the story!

Spoiled slightly by the narration

Where does Sleep Tight rank among all the audiobooks you’ve listened to so far?

It's among the top books I've listened to. Good plot, pacey (although the 'ending' was a little more drawn out than the rest). A slight twist at the end, which is always good to have. Some of the ending was rather predictable, but it didn't spoil my enjoyment of the story. I thought the characters were well drawn and the narration (particularly Andrew Wincott as I love his voice) was very good.

Which scene did you most enjoy?

The end of the book where the plot comes to a climax was very well written and well narrated. I won't say too much about it so as not to spoil the plot for others, but I found it very engrossing.

Fabulous - really gripping with a little twist

Very clever and a good listen. Unnervingly believable characters and a good plot on the whole. Worth a listen .

Successfully claustrophobic and unnerving
