Summary

Cassie Franklin trips over nothing on perfectly flat surfaces every day, and she cannot seem to be able to simultaneously speak and look into her audience's eyes.

Cassandra Frank is the ultimate tease; her words have aroused, intrigued and captured the heart of thousands...and somehow, they are the same person.

Hiding the fact that she writes erotica isn't much of a challenge - no one would ever think that a plain, boring little accountant like Cassie could so much as read anything so scandalous...

But one day, she makes a huge mistake.

Carter Harris employs so many people he can't exactly recall all their names, but strangely, he knows her. She isn't an executive, she isn't sexy, or otherwise noticeable, but the girl is cute - in a helpless, unique sort of way.

He can't pretend to say she ever crosses his mind, though...until the day he finds the manuscript she worked on during her lunch hour.

May Sage does write it better

I loved listening to the audio version of this book and with Noah taking all the male narratives and Erin the female, you become drawn into the story even more. Noah has a lovely deep chocolatey voice (yummy) and both narrators sound believable.
This first story is about a klutz accountant and fledgling erotic writer at Harris Toys who gets the full benefit of her CEO's input. I really love the 'Some girls do' series.

Cute, sexy read!

Cute book about a romance writer in need of a little "hands-on" research! It's a fun, short, sexy read that cannot be passed up! It made me want to write a romance book just so I can do some "research" with a sexy rich man!

The narration was amazing! It was a perfect duet!

Ending came too quick

I really enjoyed this story, but the ending felt cut too short. He realized his feelings & boop, story over. Also the narration took me a bit to settle in to. The woman narrator's voice was on the breathy side, & the guy spoke way too fast. I slowed down the narration speed & that helped.

Enh...

Cute-ish story, but nothing to it. I picked it for the narrators, and they did a good job, but there was no "there" there. No chemistry at all, and it felt like the whole story was TOLD, not SHOWN. Too much was ridiculous, too. She goes from too shy to talk to Miss Sassy, just because he pays a little attention to her? She and her jealous manager were in school TOGETHER? So the manager is ALSO 24 and this is her first job? Whatever.

Actually perfect dual narration!

This is a great example of pure dual narration. I wish more books did this. Fun story and enjoyable listen.

1 1/2 Caffeinated Stars

When I read the blurb of this book on Audible, I figured that it would be right up my alley. Unfortunately, I finished this book solely to see just how cringeworthy it was going to get. Spoiler, very. This book is similar to Alexa Riley's books, which is probably why I'm not a fan. The narrator always said hanged instead of hung, which was offputting. The characters were poorly developed, and the plot was not executed well. All in all, I wasn't a fan.

Super cute listen for those in a time crunch

One thing I loved about this was the dual narration and the voices matched the characters.

The storyline is pretty straightforward like the blurb says. It’s chill and a nice listen for a relaxed day.

The relationship between the heroine and hero is funny and sweet. Carter supports Cassie in her aspirations and he recognizes her talent.

But the one thing that makes me drop a star is the lack of complete closure. Sure there is a HEA but it felt so rushed. I wanted to know more rather than the implied happiness the two will share.

Middle aged narrators didn’t fit

I liked the premise of the story, but the old, gravelly voices of the male and female narrators made these characters unbelievable. And ensured zero chemistry. Cassie’s virginal geek character also did a one eighty every time things got heated- made no sense. I get being able to write about sex scenes based upon doing homework, reading other books and such. But there’s no way someone who in her mid twenties is still effectively a virgin is going to initiate and talk dirty so easily when she’s face to face with a millionaire player.
If the author of this book is new, then I can be a bit forgiving... and perhaps will consider another book. It wasn’t terrible, just fair.

Loved this

The fact that May Sage could make my heart race in a 3 hour story is impressive. I SO wish that this was a full length novel. Loved every second of it.

Enjoyable read!

This was my first time reading this author. While it was short, it was funny and adorable. One thing I must point out is that you are misusing the word “hanged.” In each place you have used it, the correct tense of the verb you should have used is “hung.” Best wishes!
