Best Holmes there is, bar none.
I've long been a fan of Clive Merrison's Sherlock Holmes. Merrison performed every story in the canon of Sherlock Holmes for the BBC, and are in my opinion unsurpassed. Up until now I've had to wait for repeats to be aired on Radio 4, so finding them on audible was amazing. I urge any serious Sherlock Holmes fan not to overlook these plays for more recent readings or TV programmes. These are classic Sherlock at its best.

The supreme Holmes audio interpretation
There are many readings and dramatisations of the Holmes canon but this will remain the ultimate interpretation. Outstanding!

misspelling of authors name
The content of the book is fine if you like a bit of light fiction from time to time but i am only giving it it three stars as a result of a publishing error. I am not quite sure who is responsible for this error but the two last names of this author are run into one I.e. Conandoyle, hence this audio book is filed under C in my library catalogue and not under D with my other books by the same author. In my expanding library this mistake I a bit irksome.

Superb
Clive Merrison and Michael Williams are up there with Brett, Burke and Hardwicke in their portrayals. These BBC productions are very entertaining with a nice smattering of guest stars too. A very compelling, relaxing listen.

Brilliant
Clive Merrison is excellent as Sherlock Holmes & Michael Williams is also great as Watson. These are very good adaptions of some of the original Sherlock Holmes stories by Arthur Conan Doyle. Just sit back close your eyes listen & get transported back to Victorian England. Absolutely brilliant.

Brilliant from beginning to end
Wonderful adaptations with splendid performances, particularly from Merrison and Williams. Indeed, they're possibly the best Holmes and Watson, rivalling Jeremy Brett and both his Watsons.
