Summary
He is rescued from disgrace by General Sir David Baird, an old comrade from India, who needs a "disposable" man for a mission in Copenhagen. An army is travelling to the Danish capital to enforce British policy, but unless Sharpe can complete the mission against enemies as subtle and clever as any he has ever faced, that army will meet disaster.
Critic reviews
"All the perfect ingredients for an action-packed and page-turning read." ( The Times)
"The novel has plenty of action sequences, plenty of well-researched historical titbits, but the true glory of the Sharpe books lies in their characterisation." ( Sunday Telegraph)

Would be better unabridged
Unfortunately Audible now only seem to sell the abridged versions of the book. The unabridged version would have been so much better - as with all of the fantastic set of these popular novels.

The Baker Rifle does its duty
Not the best Sharpe novel but a good read anyway. An unusual piece of the Napoleonic wars. As usual the author wends way through the facts and fiction of history .
'RIFLES TO THE FRONT!'
