A gargoyle, a leprechaun, and a motorcycle gang walk into a bar....

Scratch that. A human woman (me) accidentally walks into a Faerie bar run by a leprechaun who keeps a cursed gargoyle on a shelf. Somehow, that gargoyle goes home with me, and I start dreaming of a man.

Doran. He's trapped in stone and darkness, and only I can free him.

He says I'm the treasurekeeper, and I need to find his friends, the other treasures, so we can break his curse. He haunts me night and day, driving me to hurry. I can't sleep. I can't think. I have to find them. I have to free him.

Turns out his friends aren't that hard to find, because they're drawn to me, too. But these whiskey-drinking, tattoo-loving, motorcycle-riding badasses are resigned to their fate. Over the centuries, they've lost too many treasurekeepers to risk their hearts and souls again.

I have to find a way to convince them to join me. Before it's too late.

I really enjoy Joely's writing. This is too short but we get a lot in the few pages we have. The Irish men were all hot (even if some aren't considered classic beautiful), but be prepared to wait for some action, specially the group activities. All the Irish tales that Joely intertwined in the story were a great surprise. The
Overall a excellent novella that is quite magical, and rh, retelling paranormal romance.
I didn't love the narration but she did a great job at the Irish accents.

Honestly, it’s a guilty pleasure with an annoying protagonist and hot guys. It’s a bit overkill, and I really wish it had been longer with more world-building and character development. By the end, the protagonist claims she’s changed, but the only real difference I noticed was that she now has five men to lust over.

Whyyyyyy use an American narrator when the men are Irish????? I hate it when Americans attempt an Irish accent. There must be amazing Irish narrators out there who could do a far better job of this. I may be more sensitive to this because I am half Irish, but it really ruined it for me.
