BUT the Narration took ALOT of getting used to, with the "long" pauses between each sentence... i dont normally change narration speed... but i felt forced to increase it for this one, to decrease the pauses, and slow reading.
i am looking forward to book 2, but strongly considering only reading it as an e-book

He can be describing what are supposed to be adrenaline fuelled combat sequences but he reads it with the exact same tone and cadence as when he is describing the materials needed to construct a lumber mill and it is infuriating.
There is no energy behind it, no sense of urgency during a fight or relief at having won a hard battle and it really does take so much away from the story that it’s honestly quite sad because I do think there is a decent one here.
