Publisher's Summary

The epic and highly anticipated conclusion to the listener-favorite series that had countless Audible listeners (and employees) hooked from the very first Bob-featuring, as always, a flawless performance from the inimitable Ray Porter.

Being a sentient spaceship really should be more fun. But after spreading out through space for almost a century, Bob and his clones just can't stay out of trouble.

They've created enough colonies so humanity shouldn't go extinct. But political squabbles have a bad habit of dying hard, and the Brazilian probes are still trying to take out the competition. And the Bobs have picked a fight with an older, more powerful species with a large appetite and a short temper.

Still stinging from getting their collective butts kicked in their first encounter with the Others, the Bobs now face the prospect of a decisive final battle to defend Earth and its colonies. But the Bobs are less disciplined than a herd of cats, and some of the younger copies are more concerned with their own local problems than defeating the Others.

Yet salvation may come from an unlikely source. A couple of eighth-generation Bobs have found something out in deep space. All it will take to save the Earth and perhaps all of humanity is for them to get it to Sol - unless the Others arrive first.

"Great and slightly disappointing as well"

First off would I buy it again? Hell yeah I would. I loved these books, the style and the Bob's are what make this one of my favourite series. I enjoyed every second listening to their adventures and this was enhanced by great narration.

The disappointment which is more a nagging feeling of "oh it ended” is what let this book down. It felt like the build up to the ending was great but then became too fast and abrupt in the final few chapters. It could of done with longer chapters with more detail on the final events.

but regardless this trilogy as a whole is amazing! lots of room for spinoffs and great narration make this more than worth a listen.

    "Great story concludes"

Thoroughly enjoyed this trilogy and this book wraps it up nicely. Not to say that there can't be more, but they can follow a new course. For most of the book there are about 6 different threads that it jumps between. Each slice can be a bit short so it is sometimes difficult to really get into a thread. Still, with all the Bobs, difficult for it to be otherwise. Good edge of the seat battle climax at the end, and if you guessed the 'final solution' for the Others in the last book, you were probably right. Pretty spectacular.

"The nerd lore is strong with this one"
If you could sum up All These Worlds in three words, what would they be?

    Thought provoking entertainment

Who was your favorite character and why?

Bill, I have affection for the backroom boy that holds several of the threads together.

Which character – as performed by Ray Porter – was your favourite?

All the Bobs, his inflections are wonderfully nuanced, so each Bob feels like the different person that they are supposed to be.

If you made a film of this book, what would be the tag line be?

Humanity's only hope for the future; take the power away from politicians.

    Any additional comments?

I have really enjoyed being immersed in the Bobiverse, which is enhanced by Ray Porter's performance. I can understand other reviewers expression of disappointment in the story, but I fell that is more because the journey feels at an end. And juggling so many more threads, must allow less time for each thread. Still, I'm looking forward to finding out what happened to Bender.

    "A bit anti climactic"

It is a shame. I really enjoyed the first two books and am disappointed that the third book is the last. I suppose all good things must come to an end. The fight with the others was very anti climactic for such a technologically advanced race to be dealt with so easily and simply. Otherwise a good read.

"Clean ending to a fantastic series"

Note: Early readers need to redownload to get the complete book!!
I thoroughly enjoyed this book. As with any series ending, you always wish there was more, and this book didn't feel as complete as the others, but was still a great read. The conflicts that arose were varied, and exposes the depths of humanity's desire for power and self interest. They were not as complex as in the previous two books, and the resolution came about a bit easy at times, but it didn't take away my enjoyment. Besides, we wanted to get to the battle with the Others anyway. Again, it was over a bit too quickly, but definitely gives you a sense of finality. The only minor sticking point is the Medeiros story line doesn't feel as complete. There are some real emotional highs and lows in this book I don't want to come close to spoiling. Overall a great end to a fantastic series.

    Ray Porter's performance is amazing.

Do not read this book without finishing the previous two.

"Early Adopters got a shortened book"
What did you love best about All These Worlds?

Great wrap up to the trilogy, Unexpected ending to Butterworth... but gotta put some twists in some time. Wanted more Pavs, gotta bring them up to modern times.

What about Ray Porter’s performance did you like?

Great voice actor... glad they kept him for the trilogy!

    Any additional comments?

If you got this and there are only 63 chapters, remove it then download it again, and you'll get the rest of the chapters. They "fixed, the glitch".

    "a Great Trilogy"

For the early downloaders like me, re-download. It got cut off. This set of books was a fresh angle for me on sci-fi. It kept me engaged in it and considering everything, it is safe enough to let my kids read too without being too explicit, which is something I highly value. Great job!

Would you listen to All These Worlds again? Why?

The performance by Ray Porter makes the difference. He could make reading the phone book a nail biter.

The only disappointment was that this is NOT the conclusion. Still leaves you hanging.

"Would I want to be a replicant? .. SURE!!!"

I love these series, but like every vacation, it comes to an end.
Numerous replicants of Bob have diversified into their own personalities, their own persons. I like this train of thought about one's consciousness being downloaded after death. I sure would want the option if it were possible in my lifetime.
At the end of the story, the Bobs have had it with humanity with all the drama galore! It is time for the Bobs to pursue their own paths and interests. Goodbye Bobs! May you find you fulfillment in the vast universe.

    "Best. Books. Ever."

What can be said about the Bobiverse? To me, it is one of the most beautifully crafted, intriguing, thoughtful and addictive trilogies ever. Dennis E. Taylor did an amazing job with this series and I wish it didn't have to end. From creating amazingly in-depth characters, and weaving an immaculate storyline, he created literary gold. These are easily the best books I have ever read/listened to. I recommend these books to anyone. 11 out of 10 rating. Couldn't have enjoyed them any more.

    "What a great third book!"
Where does All These Worlds rank among all the audiobooks you’ve listened to so far?

This is another entertaining book from the Bobiverse. It has the science and action along with some bittersweet storylines.

What did you like best about this story?

I was worried when I saw this third installment was 20% shorter than the previous books-- but it was wonderfully assembled and moved all of the previous storylines forward in just "the right" way.

Have you listened to any of Ray Porter’s other performances before? How does this one compare?

Ray Porter is always great, but he really captures the emotional side of this story.

Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?

It was entertainment. There were funny parts and tense parts and sad parts.
