Linda Harrison is a prominent oncologist who tries to leave behind a childhood of rape, torture, and time in a mental institution. Her past causes her to fear men, but she longs for a loving relationship. She travels to Germany on a medical sabbatical, where, after twenty-two years, she meets the two people responsible for her dark past; her estranged parents.
