Clayton appreciates the comfort of his pub in Lodi, California, but he still feels the draw of the open road. He fears connecting with one special person will rob him of the freedom he cherishes. Then, he steps into the Rainbow Coffee Shop in Stockton, California and meets Sawyer, wearing a homemade rainbow bracelet.

Sawyer, the shy barista is profoundly lonely, yearning for a connection he's unsure how to make. His fear of rejection often holds him back, though he openly wears a rainbow bracelet in hopes of finding a community and perhaps, even love.

Clayton views Sawyer's bracelet as a quiet invitation to connect and he invites Sawyer to visit him at his pub some day. That invitation for the future becomes an immediate invitation to ride back to Lodi and join him at Pride Camp when fate intervenes before he can leave Stockton. What starts as a simple invitation and a ride grows into something more than either man could have imagined as they embark on a journey of discovery about each other's pasts, their dreams, and the vulnerabilities each has tried to keep hidden.
