Summary

Chassie West Glanzer hasn't been a stranger to drama and tragedy. A year of wedded bliss to sexy-as-sin cowboy Trevor Glanzer has brought her the happiness and contentment she never thought she'd find, and mellowed Trevor's rodeo wanderlust. Then Trevor's old roping partner ambles up the driveway and Chassie's life changes drastically.

Trevor never expected to see Edgard Mancuso again, after it became clear he couldn't be the man Edgard needed. Now Edgard is back from Brazil to sort out their tangled past, and Trevor is plagued with feelings he thought he'd buried over three years ago. Although Trevor is hat-over-bootheels in love with his sweet, feisty wife, the sense his life is missing a piece has always gnawed at him.

Chassie's shock that Edgard and Trevor were once loves turns to fear of losing her husband. Or worse, fear that Trevor will stay with her only out of a sense of duty. Yet as the three of them spend time together, the sins of the past blur and fade, leaving raw emotion and unbridled passion.

Passion that could heal - or cause irreparable damage to their future.

Warning: This book contains unbelievably explicit sex, including multiple cowboy/cowgirl/cowboy menage scenes, juicy, hot male on male action, a bucketful of politically incorrect situations, and true Western ideology.

This was my very first Lorelei James back in 2012 before I knew it was part of a series but this book really opened my eyes to a whole new genre. I had never read any MM before this but I've read a lot since! This will always be my favorite!

Chassie & Trevor are a happy and I don't think either of them knew there was something missing until Edgard came to visit. I loved the relationship between Trevor & Edgard and the relationship between Chassie and Edgard. The friendships are great and really make the love story fall into place perfectly for me. This book is HOT and sweet and heartbreaking all in one!

The narration again was just ok. I wish the narrator added accents so everyone didn't sound the same and they sounded like cowboys.

The Hottest Sex Ever!!!

Would you consider the audio edition of Rough, Raw, and Ready to be better than the print version?

I absolutely think the audio version is better than the print version because I love Edgard's accent. Also the sex scenes are so hot it's easier to enjoy when listening than when reading.

Who was your favorite character and why?

Chassie sweet, sweet, loyal Chassie. Gotta hand it to a girl that make her husband and his male lover love her.

Which character – as performed by Rebecca Estrella – was your favorite?

It was definitely Edgard Mancuso because he was the icing on the Trevor and Chassie cupcake. He found a way to make Chassie fall in love with him and Trevor acknowledge their relationship. Plus, that accent ...

Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?

The moment that Chassie invited Edgard to sleep in the bed with them after all the hot sexing.

Ropin the wind!

Would you consider the audio edition of Rough, Raw, and Ready to be better than the print version?

Not read the print but the audio so far in all the books in the series is spot on and very good.

What did you like best about this story?

This is my least favourite so far. Books 1 to 4, for me were all just as good as eachother, and this one is only a little less because some of the content was a bit much for me, BUT that aside, Lorelai's amazing writing still carries it off because of the interaction of all the main and secondary characters. Contrary to other opinions, although there are lots of characters, I find it easy to keep up with all of them and find them all to be just as interesting.

What about Rebecca Estrella’s performance did you like?

Again Rebeca does not disappoint and totally delivers!!!

Any additional comments?

Still looking forward to book six!!!

Lorelei James Pushes The Boundaries

What did you like best about Rough, Raw, and Ready? What did you like least?

Passion that could heal - or cause irreparable damage to their future.

How would you have changed the story to make it more enjoyable?

It is enjoyable as is. It is erotic fluff set on the Western rodeo scene- nothing more, nothing less.

Do you think Rough, Raw, and Ready needs a follow-up book? Why or why not?

It has one and it is great to follow and revisit the brothers, cousins, etc.

Any additional comments?

As the publisher states:
Warning: This audiobook contains unbelievably explicit sex, including multiple cowboy/cowgirl/cowboy menage scenes, juicy, hot male on male action, a bucketful of politically incorrect situations, and true Western ideology.

I was ok with the story until....

I was fine with the story until chapter 29. Trevor seems to be honest with Chassie regarding his relationship with Edgar and how he felt about her, he loves her and the possibility of losing her when she finds out about Edgar is something he can't bare. I did bother me at first that Trevor didn't tell Chassie about Edgar in the beginning of their relationship. He hid this from her. This chapter changed my opinion of Trevor. I feel he lied regarding how he really felt about Chassie and just used her. I'm unsure if this is what Ms. James meant to make us question Trevor's motives. There was more passion between Trevor with Edgar than with Chassie. This bothered me on how this was written. I know this fiction, but in real life I wouldn't be down for some guy to lie to me or leave out the fact he'd been in a relationship and in love with a man. I'd walk, I'd never allow a guy who says he loves me to lie to me like that. That isn't love. That is manipulation.

Reunited and it feels SO GOOD!

I wanted to read Trevor and Edgar's story as soon as I finished Book 1. It was agonizing waiting until Book 5. The wait was worth it though. The characters needed time to develop and the world to go on to make their eventual reunion that much better.

The McKay's are involved in this story BUT it mainly focuses on the dynamics between Trevor and Edgar.

Excellent story, terrible narration

Really enjoyed this unique storyline-3 unique characters, amazing sex, excellent tension. REALLY difficult to hear any difference between characters voices, which was very distracting and frustrating!!! I’m going to return audio and read the next book.

Eye opening

Not sure how I would like this book due to the sex between two men, but this story was about deeper feelings between the two and the woman who allowed them to realize the love they all shared! Great love story!

Chassie, Trevor and Edgard

A slightly unusual three some. Trevor and Edgard were lovers and partners in roping contests at the rodeos. Edgar returned to Brazil and Trevor kind of retired with other rodeo contestants. He met Chassie fell in love and married her. She had inherited her father's ranch. Out of the blue Edgar came to the ranch hoping to rekindle his romance with Trevor. Sensitively handled story about different kinds of love. Nice ending.
