Ten years of marriage. Ten years of secrets. An anniversary they’ll never forget. 'One of my favourite thriller writers' Harlan Coben

Adam and Amelia are spending the weekend in the Scottish Highlands. The remote location is perfect for what they have planned.

But when their romantic trip takes a dark turn, they both start to wonder – can they trust the one they’re with?

Just a fabulous book, finished it in a day. I’ll definitely read more of her books.

Couldn’t stop listening

Story line was pretty good and I was curious to know the ending. But Stephanie Racine’s narration was quite annoying- she’d be better suited to children’s books.

Ok but struggled with Stephanie Racine narrating

OK I didn’t see the elegant twist coming at all ... nicely done.

I didn’t feel that any of the characters were authentic enough to have an attachment to. All of them were equally crafted so there was little emotional separation for me.

To be honest I find it uncomfortable when a disability/condition is used as a plot line on which much of the story hangs. I do feel that we should be able to have diverse characters without needing to use it as a plot piece.

Narration was great.

Whose side am I supposed to be on?

This starts off quite well, although by a third of the way through I was starting to clock-watch. The twist is quite clever, but there's zero suspense because of the way the plot unfolds. None of the characters is likable so it's hard to care what happens to them. Richard Armitage is great as usual, but Stephanie Racine narrates like she's in a school play.

Very long & unengaging - terrible female narrator
