Of those focusing on Austen, one of the very best.

. Yes! And I did... couldn't turn it off. Beautifully written and delightfully performed

Any additional comments?

It was fascinating to discover the swan hiding inside Mary, the ugly duckling of the Bennet family.

P&P sequel & Jane Eyre for good measure

Although there were some bits of the storyline you could see coming from Jane Eyre I really enjoyed this. I think the writer caught the Bennet family style well, and new characters were believable to the original style. Although the reader took some getting used to I thought it had an edge that gave it an interesting listen. All in all when I am looking for a good romantic novel I shall re listen to this story.

an excellent story with a good ending for all

I found it most enjoyable story, well told and found the voices of the characters have life to them in a way some foreign not. Mary Bennett is a dear girl and it was wonderful to have her centre stage and holding her own. she shone and rightly so.

a delight

I really rather enjoyed this book! I did wonder at the start where a story about Mary could go, but I was thoroughly caught up in this and much prefer this book to The Darcy’s of Pemberly. The narrator is excellent and her performances in narrating the characters are very reminiscent of the 90’s BBC adaptation, particularly Mrs Bennett.

Very enjoyable

I really liked this sequel that focuses on Mary Bennet, which is quite "neglected" in Pride and prejudice and seems to be the least fortunate sister. A pleasant read for all Austen's fans.

Finally Mary Bennet has her happy ending
