Summary

One desperate night, a rent-boy hot enough to scorch the motel sheets, meets a man doomed to burn for love.

Christian Ryder is a lonely man because of his strange ability: pyromancy, a curse that causes the temperature to dangerously rise whenever Christian grows excited. He has accidentally hurt lovers in the past and has sworn off personal attachments.

Tanner O'Bannon is broke and desperate. The recent loss of his father has thrown Tanner into a tailspin of debt he can't afford to pay. Working as a rent-boy allows him to pay the mortgage and his college tuition, but it's burning away his soul in the process.

Through the machinations of an escort agency these men are thrown together. Smoldering embers of desire fan the flames of love, but will it be enough to make Christian overcome his fear of love, or to save Tanner from the fire?

Not a fan.

Ok book, kind of weird. Not my taste but others may love it. Nothing wrong with the writing or the author. Just not my kind of book. It's basically porn, which is fine. I just didn't like it.

Not really a paranormal story.

I expected the story to be more focused on the special powers of Christian because of the title but it's more of a side note and it's only used to get out of a dangerous situation.
I would compare it more to "Oh, Pretty Woman" with Tanner who is whoring himself to pay of the debts of his dead father and Christian, the rich client.
Tanner wants to quit the escort service but it's not as easy as he hoped and Christian is there to help the reluctant man...
I would have preferred it if the book would had more paranormal elements with the backstory how Christian got his powers for example but I'm sure it wasn't possible because of the length of the story.
Pyromancer has it's angstly moments, misunderstandings and also some sweet scenes between the protagonists with an age gap.

Chris Chamber's voice is nice and I enjoyed listening to him.
