About this listen

Sami Ford has it all: looks, money, happiness. Her life is perfect. But only if one doesn't look too closely.

Matt Brimley is a sports god. Hockey fans adore him. Girls everywhere want to worship at his skates. He's living the dream. If the dream involved everyone expecting you to be nothing but a jock.

These two rich kids could be the perfect couple. If he didn't think she was a spoiled princess, and she didn't think he was a dumb puck, they might be.

But hating someone doesn't mean you can't want them.

4⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️& 1🌶️. I enjoyed this but I’m not a massive sports romance fan. At least this one both Sami and Matt are rich kids so there’s no charity vibes. It’s the typical story of miscommunication leading to false enemies to lovers. Favourite quote - “It’s game of thrones, but the upper-east side version” which about sums it up. I listened to the audiobook and liked the narration but I wasn’t a fan of the male narrators female interpretations. But that’s just being fussy, other than this it was great. It was a fairly well rounded romance for such a quick book.

Good but not wowed

i have nothing bad to say about the narration, they were very good. the story however was just unessecarily dramatic and messy. it had some good points and missed plot oppertunities. alot of the drama could have been easily avoided and it wasnt even good drama, it was whiny drama. and the way the ML got raped, but it wasn't even mentioned at all that he was forced. the whole scene nauseated me, almost DNFed it right there because i knew it would only be one more ^bad move^from the ML. he got the blame and took the blame. and the ending.... really? nope.... just no thanks. if it had been a physical book i wouldnt even have finished it.

Messy and way to dramatic

Can’t put my finger on it , but I’m disappointed. Maybe it’s i the ending or that the storyline just feel dragged out…
