Very interesting and informative
If you are interested in forensics and real crime cases of the last 40 yrs this is a great listen into the real world of forensics, correct processes, and how it has advanced to present day including the review of high profile cases in UK.

Not that great not that bad
Lot of effort had gone in to this book. Despite my interest and curiosity in anything true crime I I found it extremely boring.

Narrator spoiled it
This is an interesting book, however the narrator spoiled it a bit for me as she constantly swallows and you can hear her lips smacking and clearly gets very dry reading the book. It was a little off putting but the book is interesting nonetheless.

At times engaging but sometimes infuriating
This book is engaging. The author is obviously a very intelligent and dedicated forensic scientist but story telling is not one of her strong suits. There are vignettes of fascinating aspects of forensics but infuriatingly certain chapters end with things like "I can't remember the outcome of the case" or "but other things were to come into play that changed everything". Not enough detail is given to the reader to research the cases themselves and sometimes the "other things" that came into play are never referenced again within the book. There is also a very annoying habit throughout the book of the author referencing cases that are yet to come. For example, in chapter 26 the Damilola Taylor case is mentioned numerous times but this case is not discussed until Chapter 27. Perhaps the editor was out sick that day. This haphazard approach to detail and continuity does little to underscore what the book's main point is: that detail is everything. The last four chapters are interesting; an insight into the more business-oriented aspects of the author's career - I liked these chapters as there was great detail in them and it's interesting to get an insight into the business mind of this accomplished scientist. I wish the other chapters had this much focus and detail.

An interesting listen
A well-written and very interesting listen. Every so often I'd check to see how far I'd got through and be pleasantly surprised to see a large number of chapters remaining. Very long but interesting and highly detailed

Good in parts
I found this book to be both interesting and in equal measures boring. The lessons of being a good forensic scientist were repeated in nearly every chapter sometimes more than once. I really struggled to finish it as it got bogged down in too much detail, great if I was studying to be a forensic scientist but alas I just wanted to be entertained.

Meh
This audiobook mostly feels like it’s just her talking about her accomplishments and multiple companies rather than interesting forensic science. Quite dull really! Fascinating at times but others not so much.

This is a wonderful book
I found this book fascinating from start to finish. The narration is great. Really intriguing and very well written, I would highly recommend to anyone interested in this field. 10/10, I will listen to this one again I'm sure.
