Under Sisson's guidance, Kearns won multiple national championships in duathlon and triathlon, and rose to a number-three world triathlon ranking in 1991.

Primal Endurance applies an all-encompassing approach to endurance training that includes primal-aligned eating to escape carbohydrate dependency and enhance fat metabolism, building an aerobic base with comfortably paced workouts, strategically introducing high-intensity strength and sprint workouts, emphasizing rest, recovery, and an annual periodization, and finally cultivating an intuitive approach to training instead of the usual robotic approach of fixed weekly workout schedules.

I like running long distances but I've been always victim of injuries (shin splints, runner's knee...) and with problems while refueling(consuming 3+ gels during marathon). With this approach I've rekindled my passion for running.

Great book! I've been bodybuilding for 4 years but now i'm doing an ultra marathon in a few months. I've been using the dietary information from this book to get fat adapted and super lean for a photoshoot and now it's paying off with my edurance challenge too.

Excellent information, fun narration and a total bargain. I've listened to it 3 times already and i pick up on something new and relevant to my training each time.

This is an excellent book, a few weeks into changing my lifestyle and eating habits I have much more energy, less aches and pains and my endurance is rocketing upwards. I often find fitness books quite hard to sit down and read cover to cover, but having this as an audiobook (excellently narrated by Brad Kearns) has enabled me to listen to it a couple of times already. There is so much to take from this book for both beginners and elite runners, thank you Mark and Brad.
