the sceptics and pessimistics amongst us won't be surprised by the conclusions this series draws, nevertheless it is well structured and informative. the author is an excellent researcher and has constructed a coherent narrative.

Didn't really engage me properly. I felt it should have had more detail in exactly how the scam worked. It also seemed to end just as it was getting going.

Well worth a listen, bit light on some of the impacts of Madoff's criminal activities. Fascinating how he combined legitimate with illegal activities and well explained and narrated.

Scratching the surface of the Madoff fiasco

Firstly there is a slightly cloying sense of wise-after-the-fact judgmentalism from the narrator. Secondly, not one mention, let alone interview, of Harry Markopoulos, who picked the fraud and reported it to the SEC in the 1990s, nor the abject performance of the SEC when presented with the information, or later when interrogated about it by the Congress select Committee... And pleaded executive privilege of all things

Great backgrounder - two reservations
