Story
He came back to me 16 minutes and 59 seconds into Beethoven’s Symphony no. 7. We parted amid tragedy, so it seemed poetic. Dylan O’Dea, my childhood sweetheart, once meant everything to me. Now we were strangers, and honestly, after 11 years I never thought I’d see him again. I lived in the world of the average, of getting paid by the hour and budgeting to make ends meet. But Dylan, he lived in the world of wealth and success. He’d achieved the great things I always suspected he would. The dissatisfaction he’d felt as a teenager had obviously been an excellent motivator.

Summary
Sometimes, to reach the surface, you have to fall to the bottom first.
For the past 10 years, Riley Davis’ life has been overshadowed by the tragic death of his partner. Unable to move on, Riley throws all his time and effort into his business, putting his personal life on hold.
Until Sonnie Frye drops by his shop, changing his life forever.
Sonnie is a man used to getting what he wants. An award-winning designer, Sonnie has worked hard to get where he is now, and is unwilling to compromise his own needs for anybody else.
Until he meets a handsome shop owner, whose sad eyes tug at his heartstrings.
Seeing something he wants, Sonnie is determined to get under Riley’s skin, and into his bed. But he soon discovers the task is not that easy. For the first time in his life, Sonnie may need to put someone else’s needs before his own, and re-evaluate what really matters in life. Sonnie and Riley’s connection is explosive, shaking them both to their very core.
But Riley doesn’t believe love will ever be possible for him again. Will Sonnie manage to convince him otherwise? And if so, at what cost?

Emotional
Combinding grief and new love is not an easy battle. Not for the one grieving or the one standing beside. But with a lot patience and some more patience it is possible to trust life again.
The twist in the near end of the book probably was nessecary but if it was so important for the whole process I think it was a bit forced.
A heartbreaking, tearful but sweet and tender lovestory with a happily ever after.
A new to me narrator did a good job with the characters.

Brilliant voice and story!
Story: I loved how different the pace of this book was from the previous two in the series! Still brilliant characters, excellent plot points and character development, but so totally different and their own! I laughed and cried with them and that’s all I need.
Narration: a great voice with brilliant inflection and very discernable characters. So easy to follow and so pleasant to listen!

as good as the ebook
The story is always 4 or 5 stars, because if I wouldn't like the story as ebook, I wouldn't listen to the audiobook.
The performance from the narrator is also very important for me. I can't listen to a lot, because my English as a non-native-speaker isn't so perfect to follow a whole story over hours, when the narrator speaks too fast or too sloppy. Normally I have to SEE the person, who is talking to me in English. It took me a little bit, to come into the narrator, but at the end, it worked. I only have to take a few breaks between. I'm just not yet finish with the book, but I listen enough to give a review.
PLEASE READ MY RATING SYSTEM!!!
To my ratings:
5* - very very good
it's like an A+
4* - very good and will be often re-listening
it's like an A
3* - it's more then a one-time-listening.

Great book
Where does Piece by Piece rank among all the audiobooks you’ve listened to so far?
I loved this, great easy listen.
What did you like best about this story?
The love that they had for each other finally shining through.
"I can put him back together," Sonnie replied. They might as well get it all out in the open.
"Yeah? And how the hell are you going to do that when nobody succeeded in the past ten years?" Penn asked, anger lacing his words.
Sonnie squared his shoulders, standing up to his full height, not appreciating being doubted. "Piece by piece."
This is where Sonnie is telling Penn he is good enough for Riley.
Which character – as performed by George A. Thorn – was your favorite?
I loved Riley
If you could rename Piece by Piece, what would you call it?
I wouldn't change it, it is so right.
Any additional comments?
Ok so I received the Audiobook from Teodora, and can honestly say that I really enjoyed this emotional rollercoaster of a book. Riley broke my heart and with Sonnie's help rebuilt my heart piece by piece as he did with Riley

Heartbreaking at first, but really sweer
If you could sum up Piece by Piece in three words, what would they be?
Heartbreaking, sweet, cathartic
What other book might you compare Piece by Piece to and why?
Godsend by Sloan Johnson
Which scene was your favorite?
Fireworks in the park
If you could rename Piece by Piece, what would you call it?
Catalyst
Any additional comments?
This audiobook was a gift from the author, and I'm so thankful. My heart hurt in so many places, but I like how the MCs dug into themselves (with lots of encouragement from each other) to improve their own lives. Also, as with Dance, I like that the MCs were not GFY nor hyper masculine.

Beautiful Story!
Sonny & Riley's story is beautiful and relatable. The author gives tells a story of love that is not perfect at first, but through the struggles and hard work of the characters, their love grows. I really enjoyed this entire series and would definitely recommend it. The books can be enjoyed as standalones but most of the characters appear in all of the books so it's fun to know their story as well.

Heartbreaking Tale of Patience
I’m torn between thinking Sonnie had the patience of a saint and Riley was a selfish bastard. I understand that Riley lost the love of his life in a tragic accident and has a hard time thinking about Richie without breaking down, but he takes so much from Sonnie, who gives everything that Riley needs with patience and kindness and without much thought of himself and what he needs, without giving a lot back. Sonnie understands and loves Riley through a lot of tough times and it ends up hurting so much that he can’t stand it. This was a really good book and I understand the pain Riley is going through I just think he could’ve given Sonnie more than he did and could’ve not acted like a big baby half the time.
The narrator was better for this one than the first two, something about his voice suited the book better I think!
Overall I really enjoyed this series and would definitely recommend!!

Riley is a hot Mess trying to move on after a loss
Would you try another book from Teodora Kostova and/or George A. Thorn?
I read Dance and loved it. This book not so much, Spoiler! I couldn't understand why anyone wants to read about misery. This is what this was a man who lost his love burried himself in work and couldn't move on for years. He met Sonny and thought he could move on but he flopped at it. Sonny wants a hot man but had to work at a relationship to get Riley out of his funk and he wasn't very likable, he couldn't demand that Riley changed he let Riley be himself. I don't want to spoil it but both men failed to me. Then after splitting up to find themselves one in another country and limited communication. I was surprised that Sonny maintained his fidelity since he never had a long term committed relationship and they weren't in one. It had a HEA ending. This all is just my opinion since I paid for this audible book. Sorry I want to listen to books where men are happy to be together and fall in love easier.
What could Teodora Kostova have done to make this a more enjoyable book for you?
You didn't even realize how hot Riley was until the end. Large chest slim hips long powerful legs. When I was reading earlier I thought he was just a nerdy long haired self absorbed man.
Who would you have cast as narrator instead of George A. Thorn?
Terrible narration. The tone was all wrong.
