Summary
La lettre aux Philippiens rayonne de joie. L'Eglise de cette ville de Macédoine avait procuré beaucoup d'encouragements à Paul. Ses membres avaient joui d'une relation intime avec lui, et il leur a envoyé cette lettre comme expression de son amour et de son affection pour eux. Les Philippiens avaient été pour lui source d'une grande joie (4.1). Mais la joie caractérise aussi ce livre parce qu'elle y apparaît comme un fruit de la vie chrétienne. Elle y est présente 16 fois en 4 chapitres, et ce message positif transparaît à chaque page pour atteindre son point culminant dans l'appel à toujours se réjouir dans le Seigneur (4.4).
