Best business book I've read this year.
What a brilliant book, couldn’t stop reading. They say it’s what you learn after you think you know everything that counts, and I learned so much on almost every page. This book has to be in your library if you sell online or off. I plan on rereading it every three months to stay sharp as a copywriter and marketing strategist. One of the things I like most about Brain is he’s not trying to sell you anything after you’ve read his amazing book. In fact, he wants to give you even more practical ways of succeeding in the form of free bonuses. That’s overdelivering! This is by far, the best business book I’ve read this year.

This book will have a positive impact...
This book will have a positive impact on many lives - and that is just from my purchase! I heard about Overdeliver via a trusted friend, and ordered the Kindle/Audible combo immediately. If you or anyone you know is involved in direct response marketing I would urge you to consume the information enclosed. I had listened with my main business in mind (B2b) and was thinking about what I had learned from the book whilst preparing this review. Mulling over Brian's teaching about the importance of your list and also the lifetime value of your customers I was hit with a thought. A side project I have that helps people with dementia. Overdeliver has directly shown me how I can reach out and have greater positive impact on the lives of both people suffering with dementia and their families. I have no doubt that the book will have a permanent place on my phone/Kindle for multiple listens/reads.

True Marketers Will Love It...
While, I wasn’t a big fan of some the stories and at some puts I was a lost. The insight you gain from having someone who worked work some of the copywriters and was on the cutting-edge when Boardroom Inc was a force of its own. Not going to lie, Jay sold me on this book and for what’s ever reason after listening to his forward I just thought it was about to be the best thing since slice bread. But... I had to come back down to reality, while I think it’s worth every penny and then some I think Jay might have over sold it for me. Maybe not... I honestly, don’t know yet. This is one of those books you have to listen to ever year because it has to lot to offer but it’s not really an easy listen. All In all of you consider yourself a serious marketer then this book is a must.

Brian’s book is a breath of fresh air...
Brian’s book is a breath of fresh air. With so many marketing books focusing on the numbers and “magic” tactics, he shares inmutable insight on why something can work - in the long run. My personal challange is that I am tired of my business living “campaign to campaign”. His suggestion to create what he calls “Intentional dinners” based on his experience hosting over 150 of them is a perfect way out of that for me. Even more important for me, living in Europe (in the just recently capitalist Hungary), I feel most American marketing wizardry doesn’t work here. This is because I feel we are late a few decades, compared to the US. What he shared about his preinternet endevours, mailing physical mail, with handwritten notes to previous customers is exactly what I am going to do next - especially since my demographic being 45+ and not really “one click upsell” savvy.
