This is inspirational. it was affirming of my 35 years teaching and will help those wanting to develop as practitioners and get pupils engaged. Listen to the end. I now have paper copy as well as audible so I can use when supporting teachers. An absolute must read for teachers and leaders in education.

Hwyel is an expert and a human! He has Many years of teaching behind him. He’s a drama teacher, which I am training to be too. Though this is applicable to ALL teachers. I loved listening to this. I’m listening to so many (boring) books. It was really refreshing to hear a book with a sense of humour. It made me WANT to listen. That’s a good lesson in itself!

This book is brilliant for both NQTs and experienced teachers who just need that lift or boost of inspiration! Hywel is fab and narrates well. A fab listen and I highly recommend it.

This audiobook is something I will listen to over and over. It ‘pumps me up’ on the drive into work. It isn’t designed to give hints or tips about teaching, but change the way you approach the classroom. I’ve recommended this audiobook several times already!

I’ve been lucky enough to hear two of Hywel’s CPD sessions and this audiobook has transported me back to them! Hywel has the ability to make people sit up, listen and become absorbed within a world where teaching is not a job or task - it’s a state of mind.

I’m currently buzzing with the excitement of re-writing the scheme of work I’ve been handed for the next term. I refuse to be a puppet - ‘a monkey puppet.’
