Any additional comments?

I feel so disappointed with this book, as I have loved the other work by this author. I have reached chapter 7 and find I must return it. Not only are the characters quite wooden and impossible to engage with, but the story just seems to ramble around aimlessly. Unfortunately, not only am I unable to enjoy it, but I'm simply experiencing it as irritating. There are too many good books out there for me to continue.
