A luxury mountaintop chalet
The opportunity of a lifetime
Until guests start to disappear…

**The unmissable new thriller from the queen of the modern-day murder mystery.**

Snow is falling in the exclusive alpine ski resort of Saint Antoine, as the shareholders and directors of Snoop, the hottest new music app, gather for a make or break corporate retreat to decide the future of the company. At stake is a billion-dollar dot com buyout that could make them all millionaires, or leave some of them out in the cold.

The clock is ticking on the offer, and with the group irrevocably split, tensions are running high. When an avalanche cuts the chalet off from help, and one board member goes missing in the snow, the group is forced to ask - would someone resort to murder, to get what they want?

A real spine-chiller that confirms Ruth Ware as the true heir to Christie's crown. Ingenious plotting sees the body count rise and multiple suspects eliminated until we're left with breathless game of cat-and-mouse.
The sense of dread deepens as the snow falls in Ruth Ware's tensely plotted and deliciously cast alpine thriller.
A chilling, edge-of-your-seat thriller. Agatha Christie would have been up all night reading this one!
Chilling, claustrophobic and clever. This is Ruth Ware's best yet.
What a read, oh my goodness, so fast paced, action packed, twisty-turny, modern, clever, scary and ingenious!
The queen of just-one-more-chapter, Ruth Ware, has done it again.
I absolutely loved ONE BY ONE! Impossible to put down and perfectly claustrophobic and gorgeously atmospheric. Each twist was perfectly cued and plotted, showing Ruth to be the master storyteller we all know.
A fabulous psychological thriller and I loved the snowy setting! Incredibly tense and kept me guessing to the end
One of the best thriller writers around.

The first third of the book was a bit boring since nothing happens and they barely explain a bit of the characters and I actually find Liz to be a bit annoying complaining all the time though in the second half which is where the exciting parts happen everything get a bit better. Finally the end, it wasn't bad but it wasn't that good either. The positive thing I could say about the audiobook is that the narrators made a very good job conveying the emotions of the characters.

There's several things I didn't like about this book. The intro to every chapter just seemed so pointless after the first few times and became quite annoying.

The narration was ok and narrator brought the characters to life.

I personally found the plot and story to be overly predictable. Alot of the dialogue was unrealistic.
I found myself thinking that surely the plot and story has to go deeper than what it does, but it disappointingly doesnt.

Predictable and annoying

I do enjoy Ruth Ware's books (especially her writing style and the various background settings to her books) so I started this book with very high expectations - and I'm delighted to say I was not disappointed. Once I started I could not stop listening, so beware if you think this is a book you can only listen to for a few hours a day. And I think this is definitely Imogen Church's best narration ever!

Highly recommended, all round 5 star!

Loved this book - just enough twists and turns to keep you hanging until the end!
Thought the narrator did a great job giving all the characters their own identities. If you like a good murder mystery then would highly recommend.

A group of colleagues on a work retreat in a beautiful ,if somewhat isolated, chalet on a French mountain... what could go wrong? Lots is the answer - so much I fact that I couldn’t put this book down.

The work group are gathered to bond and try to decide if they should accept a buy out offer for their listen along music app ‘Snoop’.

After their first ski session one of the party has gone missing... this is followed by an avalanche causing the party to be stranded and cut off from the outside world. Next, ‘One by One’ the murders start.

This was a great thriller in a fantastic setting, full of suspense. Like mamy others. I think it is almost like a modern day Agatha Christie novel. The final unexpected twist really surprised me and added a whole new perspective to what I had read.

Another great story from Ruth Ware who has fast become one of my favourite authors of this genre. It was narrated beautifully by Imogen Church who I am also a fan of.

Anther fab listen from Ruth Ware
