I Submitted her review on Sun 6/30 Subject: Social and Emotional Learning for Teens
The teenagers in this generation grew up in a technology world. Many learned have to use handheld technology before they could walk. Unlike previous generations who learned social and emotional skills through interacting with family and peers, today’s teens did not have much of that type experience because of the many technology devices. SEL are vital skills that begin at birth and continue throughout our life. Many teens missed this type education and development which makes this book a great learning experience for them. I highly recommend it.

Teens have a unique way for looking at the world. They believe they have enough experiance to handle anything that comes their way. As a parent you know how tough the world can be and want to provide guidance. Striking the right balance of guidance without taking over can be hard. This book takes away the worry and helps you open your teens eyes and provide better communication between you two. My son has ADHD so the idea of creating a better connections with others and gain more social inteligence sounded great. I found that it helped bring up topics I was unsure how to address and taught him how to be more mindful. Positive support in this book has open up better communication skills, built up more confidence and promoted having healthy relationships. All this has made me feel more comfortable with letting my teen explore the world more than before. We are greatful for the experiance this book has opened up for us. Highly recommended!!!

It has been years since my teenage years; I have some sort of memories of those awkward times and wish I had resources like this book serving as a mentor to guide me through those years. If you are a parent and you pick up this book, know that your kid is very fortunate to have you invest in their mental and social well-being. This book is practical and helps parents understand what their teenagers are going through.
