Fantastic book. One of my favourite so far in many a read and listen. Highly recommend if not read before.

Story rises far above Ralph Listers' shouty narration. Every character is indeed a character and the setting and intrigue will suck you in. Intensely engaging.

Narrator is a bit poo story is brilliant.

Brilliant book as usual from James Clavell. I was apprehensive about the saga moving into more modern times, but needn't have been. Great characters, plot, call-backs etc. Well read too.
