About this listen

Here is Jim Morrison in all his complexity-singer, philosopher, poet, delinquent-the brilliant, charismatic, and obsessed seeker who rejected authority in any form, the explorer who probed "the bounds of reality to see what would happen..." Seven years in the writing, this definitive biography is the work of two men whose empathy and experience with Jim Morrison uniquely prepared them to recount this modern tragedy: Jerry Hopkins, whose famous Presley biography, Elvis, was inspired by Morrison's suggestion, and Danny Sugerman, confidant of and aide to the Doors. With an afterword by Michael McClure.©1991 Danny Sugerman and Jerry Hopkins; (P)2006 Time Warner AudioBooks. All rights reserved. Entertainment & Celebrities

Only- because it wasn't the full book being read out!
I have read the book many times and I was looking forward to hearing it all on audible.
Unfortunately the book has been segmented and lots of the true essence of jeem has not come through.
I truly hope Denny has another go at audiobook with no on here gets out alive, as I believe he is one of the most prominent figures as witness without bias to the life of Jim. All the other books I have about Jim have been self
Absorbed trash with the exception of ray mazeriks account.
For this book, still a great purchase and
Well worth a listen.

Disappointed.

This lacked content and was more of an overview in comparison to other versions of Jim's life.

Disappointing

Didn't realise how abridged this actually was! Good book, but I wouldn't bother buying the audiobook, it's way too short

Much shortened version of the book

I read this book when I was 15 (many years ago) and really enjoyed it. I purchased the book before seeing its just over an hour long. It’s essentially a summary of Jim’s life with the doors. My fault, so I will stop being lazy and read the book again.

Too short to use up a credit

First Biography of Jim that I have read so can't give any comments on how it matches up to others but the book is entertaining. It is a little short but that makes you want to read more Biographies so it provides a good introduction.

Good overview but a little short.
