Entertainment

What made the experience of listening to No-One Ever Has Sex on a Tuesday the most enjoyable?

Bought on the recommendation of young team member from work. I thought I would a) hate it b) if I listened to it I would be somewhat superior in my assessment. Wrong! I learned more about those a generation younger than me, I enjoyed the very easy story line and the well crafted characters. This is chic lit. It is entertaining, not factual, informing in a casual manner about other people's lives through fiction.

What other book might you compare No-One Ever Has Sex on a Tuesday to, and why?

50 shades of grey. Which is chic lit and I couldn't get passed the second chapter and I couldn't recommend to anyone. Give me "no one ever has sex..." any day

What does Julia Barrie bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you had only read the book?

Life for the under thirties

Did you have an emotional reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?

Laughter, definitely light entertainment with out being a straight out comic read.

Any additional comments?

Life is serious enough. Listen, enjoy and live a little differently.

Chic Lit but enjoyable

This is well read but completely predictable.

Quite funny in places although there is an awful lot of stereotyping of the northern male characters.

As I said in my title it is totally chic lit and can be read/listened to without stretching the brain too much.

As a northern male and ex wedding photographer, some of the scenes reminded me very much of some of the celebrations I attended in my job.

Enjoyable!

Tuesdays will never be the same

Amusing, laugh out loud moments, make you wish this story never ends. Tracey Bloom is a fantastic Author and Julia Barrie’s performance pulls you in head first, enticing your heart to follow and guarantees you fall in love with these wonderful characters. Join Katy and Ben on their ride to becoming parents for the first time, along with their loyal friends Daniel and Braindead, who are the glue that holds everything together. A must read, if you enjoy a good book/audiobook, you’ll not be disappointed 🥰

Brilliant!

Enjoyed every page, laugh out loud in places. Hoping she’s written more, because this was the most enjoyable easy read I’ve listened to in a while.

got through book

sorry to write negative review, but I have very little to recommend about the plot, style of prose or annoying OTT accents of the narration.
