About this listen

One of the most tense, gripping thrillers you will ever read. From UK and US bestselling author Taylor Adams.

A KIDNAPPED LITTLE GIRL LOCKED IN A STRANGER'S VAN. NO HELP FOR MILES. WHAT WOULD YOU DO?

Darby Thorne is a college student stranded by a blizzard at a highway rest stop in the middle of nowhere. She’s on the way home to see her sick mother. She’ll have to spend the night in the rest stop with four complete strangers. Then she stumbles across a little girl locked inside one of their parked cars.

There is no cell phone reception, no telephone, no way out because of the snow, and she doesn’t know which one of the other travelers is the kidnapper.

Who is the little girl? Why has she been taken? And how can Darby save her?

Full of shocking twists and turns, this beautifully written novel will have you on the edge of your seat.

As an audio book, it was thrilling and very hard to stop listening. It was captivating from beginning to end. However, there are extraordinarily gruesome depictions of scenes and possibly uncomfortable discussions. Come prepared!

Heavily recommended

This book didn’t change my life, but it was exactly the kind of thing I was in the mood for listening to.

It’s an extreme weather, remote location thriller with a limited number of characters and enough twists to keep things interesting without it veering into the realm of the unbelievable.

Were some of the character’s actions illogical? Yes.

Did it spoil the story? No.

If this premise sounds like your kind of thing, then I’d recommend this book.

Isolated, extreme weather, remote location thriller

amazing story with many unexpected turns throughout the book. I could barely put it down.... Its amazing how one person can put their while life in someone's hands, not knowing if they will come out alive for a stranger

gripping

Story twists and turns, unpredictable ending. My first audible and it was great. Narration was ok but not brilliant.

Great book, twists and turns

I was hoping there would be more mystery and prolonged suspense about who the kidnappers really were. I didn't feel any connection to the main character at all, just like she was nobody. I got to about 70% and just got bored of it.

Predictable
