About this listen

Neurolinguistic programming (NLP) is an approach to communication, personal development, and psychotherapy created by Richard Bandler and John Grinder in California in the 1970s. Its creators claim there is a connection between neurological processes (neuro), language (linguistic), and behavioral patterns learned through experience (programming), stating that these can be changed to achieve specific goals in life.

Bandler and Grinder claim the NLP methodology can "model" the skills of exceptional people and then those skills can be acquired by anyone. Bandler and Grinder also argue that NLP can treat problems such as phobias, depression, stereotypic movement disorders, psychosomatic diseases, myopia, allergies, the common cold, and learning disorders, often in a single session.

Content does seem relevant but perhaps outdated, I really want to maximize my potential and learn how to program my brain, however, the monotonous voice, references don't' engage the listener and capture my attention, I find my mind wandering. i feels more like a reference book rather than a set-out plan to identify things to help the listener, ie there is a section on fear of spiders, which states that the subject should talk about it and learn to control their fears. this seems blatantly obvious. I chose this book on the 5-star rating, sadly I should have listened to the sample, Quite disappointing.

Dissapointing, difficult to listen to.
