Summary

When things turn up missing at the campground, things that wild animals aren’t likely to carry off to a hiding place, it looks like a human must be involved. But why would a human want to steal a glittery hairbrush, the first of a number of items stolen? Maybe a fetish?

Holly and several of her friends have gone on a summer camping trip before school starts. What seemed like an idyllic way to celebrate the end of summer soon turns into a hunt to find the thief.

It seems like it would be easy to find the culprit, but teenage emotions, such as jealousy and taking things out of context, threaten to upend the search.

Good thing Holly’s had some experience dealing with mysteries! This is another Nancy Drew-style pause resister with plenty of twists, turns, and surprises.

A relaxing time or a mystery to solve

I enjoyed this book. It is another light hearted clean mystery with no dead bodies, aimed at the younger listener but to be honest
it is interesting enough to keep anyone interested. I like the characters, many of whom we have met in the authors other series but it is the way the author weaves a message or moral into her plots that really works for me. In this one it is the fact that people should listen and give other people a chance because you never know what is going on behind closed doors. The mystery unfolds nicely and I liked the way it concluded. It is just a fun, easy and uncomplicated little mystery with enough suspects that the story isn't over to quickly.
Holly and her friends have been invited to go camping by her best friends parents, so the group of teenagers can rest and relax before heading back to school. When things start to go missing the rest and relaxation is put on hold, as Holly and her friends set out to find there missing items and to prove if it is animals doing the stealing or someone of the human kind. Friendships can be tested when fingers start to point but with the level headed Holly around things are bound to get solved.
I liked the narrator and found with her pleasant voice the story flowed along nicely.
