Have you ever had one of those really bad days at work? You know, one where your sexy AF boss catches you photocopying your backside in his office? No? Just me, then? I blame my bestie and partner-in-chaos. She challenged me with a not-so-innocent dare that I should’ve flat out declined. But I’m an adrenaline junkie, and now, here I am. I know it sounds crazy, and daredevil tendencies aside, I definitely went too far to get his attention. But you haven’t seen him. Colton Wolfe. My boss. Tall, dark, handsome, and with the sexiest British accent I’ve ever heard.

Story
The first time I met Hudson Rothschild was at a wedding. I’d received an unexpected invitation to one of the swankiest venues in the city. Hudson was a groomsman and quite possibly the most gorgeous man I’d ever laid eyes on. He asked me to dance, and our chemistry was off the charts. I knew it wasn’t a good idea to get involved with him, considering the wedding I was at. But our connection was intense, and I was having a great time. Though the fun came to a screeching halt when Hudson figured out I wasn’t who I’d said I was.

My love story all started with a letter. Only it wasn’t from the man I’d eventually fall in love with. It was from his daughter. A sweet little girl named Birdie Maxwell who’d written to the magazine that I worked for. You see, once a year my employer fulfilled a few wishes for readers. Only that column didn’t start up again for months. So I fulfilled some of her wishes myself. It was harmless…so I thought. Until one day I took things too far. While anonymously granting yet another of Birdie’s wishes, I got a look at her father.

Am I friends with JP Cane? Ha! That's laughable. Besides the fact that he’s adopted some far-fetched notion from the movie When Harry Met Sally that says men and women can't be friends and work together, it’s safe to say we're not friends. He's annoyingly loud, obnoxiously handsome, and has made an art out of poking all my hot buttons...multiple times a day. So you can imagine how disgruntled I am when I not only have to fly to San Francisco with him for work, but stay in the same penthouse. Yup, we're sharing the same air, 24-7. We're talking full-fledged working roommates.

Summary
He needs a wife. I need a husband. It’s just temporary...what could go wrong?
I’ve always wanted the fairy tale wedding. Not for the princess perfect dress or big party, but for papa. My grandfather. The only father figure I’ve ever known. It’s his dying wish to walk me down the aisle.
Gee, no pressure.
But I can grant that wish. I just have to fake being head over heels in love with Ross Andrews, my best friend's big brother whom I embarrassingly crushed on all through high school. Handsome. Knockout sexy. Arrogant jerk extraordinaire. Our childish pranks and tit-for-tat battles were legendary. Then I grew up. Not that he ever noticed.
I know it’s a terrible idea, and we’re both in over our heads. It could be the wedding of a lifetime or a total disaster.
How do we make it to the altar without killing each other first? Or without falling in love for real?
My Big Fat Fake Wedding is a full-length romance with a HEA and no cliff-hanger. Now a Washington Post and Amazon best seller.

A scorching hot listen
Wow I don’t know if I can find the right words to do this story justice. Lauren Landish went all out for thus one. There are some scenes that will have you laughing your self to tears but also shaking your head. Love how Lauren had a great hand in word play like frienenemies .
Hero is Ross , who is an Alpha Male , but with a big heart. He always gets the bad press even when he goes all out to save someone. Heroine is Violet , she’s an alpha female. Both Ross and Violet give as good as they get starting the pranks in school. . Ross has 2 sisters and one sister Abby , is Violets best friend .
When both Ross and Violet are caught in a bind Abby has a scheme of how they can help each other out. Ross is trying to handle his father and Violet giving her grandfather his last wish . The idea that Abby had was for Ross and Violet to have a real fake marriage . You wonder how that will be pulled out. You will need to grab it and find out . Will anybody find out what is going on. Violet world will come crumbling down , and Ross will take a step back and face some facts . Hope One of Ross sister gets her HEA
What more can I say about both performers. Both Carly Robins and Joe Arden pulled this story off perfectly. Even Carly voice doing her Italian relatives were spot on. Joe doing the female parts like his sisters and mother was great

Big Fat but not fake Masterpiece
I love books by Lauren Landish, but this is a whole new ball game. This heartwarming, funny, heartbreaking and amazing story takes a big fat Italian Cake. Lovable characters and their unique family and friends, the premise and friends to enemies theme, everything is served as delightful story. I must give props to Carly Robins who gave an outstanding performance as Violette and her family members, and whose narrative had me in pieces from first minute. And of course Joe Arden as Ross is amazing as always. Their narration brought this book to another level. This Audiobook just became my new favorite.

What a hoot
I really enjoyed this story which was narrated by Carly Robins and Joe Arden who did a great job bringing the story to life for me.
This is an enemies to lovers story about Violet & Ross’s story and was an entertaining listen. The characters were easy to relate to and I found myself laughing out loud on numerous occasions, although there was also groaning and shaking my head as the story developed.
The banter and chemistry between them added an extra layer to the story of love and family and the lengths a person will go to make a loved one happy and protect them.
I did feel at times that it was a little over the top, but growing up with close friends who are Greek(yes I know this is an Italian family) I could relate to many of the scenes, particularly the ones with Nana.

My Big Fat Fake Wedding
Violet has always dreams of the fairy-tale wedding. Running her own interior design business has left little time for much more than work. But when her grandfather has a health scare and outlook is grim, Violet feels the need to get down the aisle ASAP if nothing else than to let her grandfather know that she's well taken care of. Now it just remains to be seen as to who will fill the role of groom.
Ross Andrews hasn't quite gotten over his wild ways. Yes, he's reliable when it comes to getting his work done, but his personal life has still been known to be eyebrow raising at times. After one such time catches him sneaking out of a club with a married woman, Ross's father tells him the board of directors is threatening to oust Ross unless he shapes up his personal life.
Violet and Ross see in each other a means to an end. Violet can give her grandfather some piece of mind, and Ross can get his father off his back. They'll marry in an elaborate ceremony, and then down the line they'll annul it. Easy. Except for the fact that both Violet and Ross are falling for one another.
First off, I thought that Carly Robins & Joe Arden did a pretty good job of narration on this one. I've listened to a few books narrated by Joe Arden and it always takes me a minute to get used to his voice for some reason, but once I do it's smooth sailing from there. I don't believe I've ever listened to a story by Carly Robins. I liked her narration. She has a clear, sometime bubbly voice (at least for these characters) and I enjoyed her narration. I love the dual narratives. I think it adds a lot when each character's section is narrated by a different voice actor.
Now the story: Based on the book blurb I was prepared for a big mashup of enemies to lovers with a side of marriage of convenience and fake fiancee, and it's all there, but Lauren Landish seamlessly makes all the different tropes really work well together. They are almost a story within themselves telling of the movement of Violet and Ross's relationship.
Plain and simple, I just enjoyed the story. I thought the way the conflict played out was done well. Things weren't rushed, and even though it's easy to see where things will go, it never felt redundant or like a hard slog to get there. Despite maybe not making the best choices, I could sympathize with the how the characters found themselves in their individual predicaments. Mainly, I liked both Ross and Violet. I mainly enjoyed that there wasn't a "bad guy" between the two of them. They both genuinely wanted to help the other out, but together, they probably didn't go about it in the right way. Except they ended up seeing each other in a different light and opening their eyes to a love that neither of them really thought possible.
This has probably been my favorite of Lauren Landish's books that I've listened to (or read). I thought everything was balanced out really nicely. And I definitely wouldn't say no to Ross's sisters each getting their own story too.

Looking for fun? This one delivers!
What do you do when you HAVE to get married so your dying grandfather can walk you down the aisle? Violet finds herself in a bind. She has just broken up with her fiance, her wedding is 2 weeks away and her goal is to grant her ailing grandfather is wish of walking her down the aisle. Ross, her best friend's brother, childhood nemesis and man she has crushed on is in need of a reputation lift. What the answer? Marry each other! These two are a perfect match! Violet is extreme, needs this to happen, so with this solution, she finds herself in more than just a fake marriage. Her true feelings are coming through, but does Ross feel the same? Ross is finding his playboy days are not as exciting as he thought as he begins his journey with Violet. Is this where he is supposed to be? It's a frenemies to lovers story that accentuates family and their trials, relationship history which I absolutely love with flashbacks to their childhood that just make you cringe and smile at the antics and a love that can't be broken. In true Landish style, the books is amazing and left me feeling good!
Carly Robins and Joe Arden are a perfect cast for this story. Robins has a young sounding voice, with that slightly emotional feel. Violet is definitely this person, full of that angsty personality, trying to make life perfect. With Arden as Ross, we have that strong business man, knowing what he wants and trying to get there. Arden hones in on the strength, the emotions and then gives the romantic side that softness. I loved the narration of this story!

First of all, I read the reviews for this book before I purchased it and was not sure how to feel; some people can be mean. We all like different things, so I went for it anyways.... and I was not disappointed. I absolutely loved and adored this story. It was fun, witty, cute, extremely entertaining, and oh so sweet.
Carly Robins and Joe Arden are simply perfect! Loved listening to them.

Emotional
You will laugh and cry with this wonderful story. Ross and Violet are perfectly imperfect for each other in this sexy, funny and crazy tale. Great performance from Carly Robbins and Joe Arden.
