Fjelle und Emil sind beste Freunde. Zusammen besuchen sie die Grundschule im verschlafenen Örtchen Flusenbek. Eigentlich alles stinknormal, bis auf eine Kleinigkeit: Fjelle ist ein großes, bärenstarkes Monster mit einer Vorliebe für Petersilie und der Eigenart, die Gefühle von Menschen in seiner Nähe zu spiegeln. Das heißt: Wenn jemand ängstlich ist, ist Fjelle super ängstlich, wenn jemand fröhlich ist, ist er super fröhlich.
