Fun-loving boys will appreciate this romp through the life of fourth grade inventor Scab McNally. Scab is certain he saw a monster in the local lake while on a fishing trip, but his mom won't let him go back to check it out unless he passes the next level of the swim class. That means swimming in the deep end of the pool, one of Scab’s least-favorite things. Rather than be caught dead in his squirrel swim trunks, Scab heads to his inventors' lab to design his way out of his predicament, but things don't go entirely to plan. Action-packed and outdoorsy, this is a great listen for boys who many not otherwise enjoy books, and performer Oliver Wyman expresses the goofy, fun-loving Scab to a "t".
