About this listen

When you steal Time Magic, prepare to run for eternity …

Arlan can go back in time by one minute, once per day.

Fail a challenge? Say something dumb? He can get a redo as long as he acts fast.

And every time he levels up, he can go back a little further.

But, even with his growing power, Arlan has never been in more danger. He was left stranded in the middle of a monster-infested forest, nobody to rely on but himself as he fights to build strength.

And his time magic wasn't given to him freely.

He stole it.

And its original owners would go to any lengths to take it back.

Don't miss the start of a new LitRPG adventure filled with time magic, three-dimensional characters, a crunchy LitRPG system, tactical combat, and power progression where level-ups are hard-earned and bring with them meaningful change in characters’ abilities.

fun story and concept characters are likable and the narrator is fine but it was an absolutely idiotic move to make the demons names so long I get what the author was going for but it gets really old after the second time you hear one and they're still using them by the end of the second book

good story, good narrator a fun listen with a few irritating issues

I liked the story overall. I enjoy magic centred MCs especially and this one was thoughtful regarding magic and his growth. Although I like his poverty, I found myself incredibly impatient with all non MC pots, especially the demons. After about 50% of this book, I started skipping all chapters na.ed He'll (demons pov)

Enjoyed main pov

Okay, so this book is by far not the worse book I've ever listened to, and I likely am going to pick up the second despite knowing I shouldn't. There's somewhat of an interesting story. Every time it gets going, the author fecks it up by doing something to disrupt the flow of the story. This can be repeating damage messages, system notifications, or a seeming perpetual loop of idiocy over something clearly obvious. I'm not just stating that it was obvious to me, the reader. THE CHARACTER questioning the situation even states the answer before questioning it over with his ally/allies in some bizzaro scene like some comedic sketch. By the final third of the book, I'd found myself hitting that 30 second skip button quite a few times for this reason. I was rewound because I honestly couldn't believe that after a full 10 minutes, they were talking about the same situation. Combine this with the repeating of the skill sheets over and over (notably the full break down at the end of a chapter, only to immediately spit it all back out again in the next) and yeah. A lot of the time in this book is wasted.

Bottom line; Interesting story hampered by the authors desire for increasing the word count of their story.

Long-winded, and disruptive onto itself.

it is fine in writing but having a name take 30 seconds to say is too much

Fuck these names
