Mindset by Carol S. Dweck. Conversation starters.

Mindset has been lauded by both literary critics and academics alike. This book is a must read and should be listened frequently, will say it’s the mindset Bible. Impactful and very practical with everyday experiences included.

A great book, which I happily recommend

I don’t think a growth mindset is the only reason for the positive changes that are attributed to it in this book though. I think true self confidence, not the loud and self appraising kind often that is mistaken for self confidence but rather a quiet and deeply grounded inner peace that makes you strong enough to welcome learning opportunities from your mistakes and input on how to overcome your shortcomings rather than become brittle and angry at those who (dare) question (perfect) you. A very useful way to learn about how you could approach life situations differently and I think it’s a necessary skill to develop so you can develop a true self confidence.

Useful thinking, great book

But too long for the concept, should be 2/3 the length. Horrible self promotion: “here is a letter I received …” worth a read / listen though

Good book that ran out of steam
