Your mind is always thinking, but lately, does it feel like your thoughts are controlling you?

You replay conversations long after they end. You worry about what might happen, analyze every possible outcome, and struggle to make decisions because you are afraid of choosing wrong. Even when everything is quiet around you, your mind refuses to slow down.

Mindfulness for Overthinkers is a gentle, beginner-friendly guide for anyone who feels exhausted by racing thoughts, anxiety, rumination, intrusive thoughts, and constant mental spirals.

This book will not tell you to “just stop thinking,” force your mind to become completely silent, or expect you to meditate perfectly. Instead, it will show you how to notice your thoughts without automatically believing, following, or fighting every one of them.

Inside, you will discover how to: With practical exercises such as thought labeling, sensory grounding, mindful breathing, conversation closure, and the one-minute reset, you will learn how to pause before reacting and gently return your attention to what is actually happening.

Whether you are new to mindfulness, struggling with an overactive mind, or simply tired of feeling trapped inside your thoughts, this book offers realistic tools you can use—even when you are busy, anxious, tired, or not in the mood.

You do not need to eliminate every thought to feel better. You only need to stop letting every thought lead the way.

I've struggled with overthinking more than I'd like to admit, so this audiobook immediately caught my attention. What I appreciated most was that it doesn't tell you to stop thinking altogether, but instead teaches you how to respond to your thoughts in a healthier way. The exercises are simple, practical, and easy to fit into everyday life, even on busy days. The narrator has a calming voice that perfectly matches the material, and I finished the audiobook feeling more grounded and better equipped to quiet my racing mind.

I like how this author rejects the advice to just stop thinking. Instead, she focuses on exercises like thought labeling, sensory grounding, and the one-minute reset. These tools taught me how to notice my thoughts without automatically believing, fighting, or following every single mental alarm bell. Instead of adding to my daily stress, the author provides simple techniques that fit into busy, tired moments when you least feel like meditating.

I liked this guide because it offers simple ways to interrupt nonstop thinking that can leave you feeling mentally drained. The mindfulness practices helped me recognise when I was getting stuck in worry and shift my focus back to what was happening in the moment. The advice feels calm, realistic, and easy to use. It gave me a better sense of how to step away from repetitive thoughts and create more mental space.

I identify as an overthinker, and a lot of this book is dead-on correct about the way my mind works. It was also filled with wonderful anecdotes and great ideas for how to get out of my own way. I'm glad I listened to it. I think I'm going to reflect on this audiobook for quite a while.

Genuinely interesting.

I’m definitely someone who can overthink a situation long after it’s over, so a lot of this really hit home. I liked that the book doesn’t tell you to simply stop worrying or clear your mind. Instead, it gives you realistic ways to recognize when your thoughts are starting to spiral and shift your attention before you get completely caught up in them. The mindfulness exercises are straightforward and don’t require a lot of time or experience. Kayla Winters also has a calm, easy-to-listen-to voice that works well for the subject. I picked up several ideas I can actually use.
