Colin Mace makes everything better when he narrates. This is a pretty classic pulp style crime story set in 1920s London. Not a lot of the history of that time is woven in. A bit macabre for my taste, although not unrealistic. Went on a bit where it did not need to, but… In all, okay and I stuck it out to the end, which I do not always do.

Came across this & the premise sounded intriguing & the fact it is narrated by Colin Mace sealed the deal. It’s great- really well written by Phil & of course excellently read by Colin. The characters are all interesting,developed & all add to a really great story. I think this may be Phil’s first novel .. I cannot wait for the next George Harley adventure- a wonderful listen. Highly recommended. 5 *!!!! Thanks Phil - a great listen
