Summary

What if you were given unimaginable power and long life? What if for a time you had no control of the beast you had become? Only to gain control and look back in horror at the trail of destruction behind you....

This is about a curse that was sprung from the ancient Gods. Gods, that have long since disappeared into myth. Angry gods that turned a man into a beast... A story of time and its hold on everyone but our narrator. A story of love and loss and betrayal, and most of all, endurance. And of a shadow that haunted him through the centuries.

On his journey home, he is swayed by what he thinks is a beautiful woman, out of an inn, and his life is changed forever. He awakens to find that he has been turned into what one would believe to be a monster from a fairytale. Seduced into her nightmare, he can never go home, for fear of what he might do. He’s torn between hatred and love. He learns how to move through history unseen, unnoticed. Until a fateful night when he loses everything, his love, his compass! On this night, he does something that he will regret for an eternity, and the price he pays for it is beyond measure.

He longs for it to end!

Until a shadow appears with an offer he can not refuse.

Instant classic

Beautiful character development. A fast-paced, romantic, engaging novel, beautifully narrated. Listening to the story feels like you’re sitting with the main character listening to his story.

Can’t wait for the next book!

En av de bästa böcker jag lyssnat på

One of the best books I've listened to.

The whole book is a journey in time and space and the excitement of searching for love made me unable to stop listening so it took me a day to listen through the entire book.

And I appreciated the author's way of reading the book.

Highly recommend it.
