Summary

Unos extraños versículos bíblicos son la única pista para detener a un asesino en serie, en una carrera contrarreloj. La tranquila vida de la ciudad de Castellón se ve alterada por un macabro asesinato, el de un hombre cuyo cuerpo aparece brutalmente mutilado en un piso del centro. Para resolver el caso, el comisario Romales pide ayuda al inspector Bartolomé Monfort, con quien ya colaboró en el pasado, como se narra en Asesinato en la plaza de la Farola.

Juntos reconstruirán la historia de la víctima, el director de una oficina de empleo con fama de mujeriego. El caso se complica cuando hallan un segundo cadáver que no parece tener relación alguna con el primero. Afortunadamente, el intuitivo y eficaz inspector Monfort no tardará en dar con las pistas necesarias para avanzar en la investigación.
