About this listen

In this life-changing audiobook, Rachel Lankester unpicks the accepted status quo and negative stereotypes associated with women’s midlife and aging. She offers us a radical, research-based rebranding of midlife and menopause, highlighting the possibilities inherent in this transformational time in a woman’s life.

Far from menopause being the beginning of the end, it can be an exciting catalyst for a more fulfilling next chapter. In this fresh approach to midlife, menopause, and aging, the listener is empowered and provided with resources to get the messy stuff sorted; then guided through a step-by-step blueprint to create a truly magnificent midlife - and beyond.

Whether you’re perimenopausal or post menopause, or you just want to understand what women face, this audiobook will challenge you to think differently about aging, and what midlife and menopause represent.

Be prepared, not scared!

some good points but...

This is an easy to listen to, challenging and inspiring book read by the author. It’s inspiring for both men wanting to understand women and for women to understand, care and inspire themselves going through not just menopause but dealing with and rising beyond a whole array of other things faced in midlife - things that certainly were not on my radar but once pointed out ring so true. Magnificent!

I’m afraid this book did nothing but annoy me. For anyone to suggest that women take hrt only because the patriarchy demands that they retain youthful vaginas… this is belittling and possibly dangerous information. Some women suffer so badly from vaginal atrophy they have constant UTIs, as well as far worse symptoms. This has nothing to do with wanting a beautiful fanny!! And sorry but the author reads in a mechanical voice and stilted way which made it unlistenable to.
