Why has the main character's lover done a 180 character flip to become this love-sick puppy of a woman? From cold and reserved in public to fawning over the main character, so terrified at the possibility he might get even a splinter? This is not the same character from the last books at all...

Besides this, the book was decent enough. More of the same and a good continuation of the story.

Sorry, I hope this gets up voted before you buy 4/5/6 of these books, great start but it’s done. I hope the author reads this and responds but the love interest who he has neckbearded into loving him is terribly weak. I dread to read further does she have a new op bloodline that she didn’t realise she had, his character was very well read and experienced, you hand to hand out bloodline like skittles like their rare, however every one and their mother can get advanced, nothing is rare if they all can get it.
