About this listen

The problem with secrets is that they’re too easy to keep collecting.

Luna Allen has done some things she would rather no one ever know about. She also knows that, if she could go back in time, she wouldn’t change a single thing.

With three sisters she loves, a job she (mostly) adores, and a family built up of friends she’s made over the years, Luna figures everything has worked out the way it was supposed to.

But when one of those secrets involves the man who signs her paycheck, she can’t find it in her to regret it. Despite the fact that he’s not the friendliest man in the world. Or the most patient.

Sometimes there are things you’re better off keeping to yourself.

Number one overall Amazon Kindle best seller.

After reading some reviews I didn’t think I was going to enjoy this book, but I was pleasantly surprised by it. I loved the narration and the story. Rip is one of those book boyfriends who will stay with me, and as with most of Mariana Zapata’s books, I will definitely read it (listen to it!) again!

So surprised!

4.5 stars for the Queen of the slow burn. It's been a while since I have read anything by this author but I think this might be the slowest of all their slow burns. Not that I didn't enjoy it. I did. A lot. Luna and Rip are great! the friend group at the garage, are great. If I could have a Rip of my own, that would be beyond great!

A bit long, and repetitive- but sweet and with nice banter. Gets 🌶️🌶️ but 💗💗💗💗 on the love story. Under Locke vibe, but not a lot male audio. It isn’t WoWp or all Rhodes either, but sweet.

Such a great book with brilliant vocal performances!!
I love all the characters (except Thea and Kyra) and they each have their own development.
This is a very slow burn, so if you are looking for a book with more focus on the actual relationship, you may find this lacking. There were a few moments towards the end where Zapata picks the easy way out and leaves things vaguely explained, but overall, a great listen.

Brilliant story but veryyyy slow burn

Loved listening to this book. Mariana is definitely the queen of the slow burn, there were times when I yelled in frustration at Luna! Brilliant story and Rip is worth all the angst. Brilliantly narrated by Callie and Gomez, think I may have been impatient and skipped pages if I was reading it, but they made it a pleasure to listen to. Their voices are captivating

Slow burn but worth it
