Summary
The problem with secrets is that they’re too easy to keep collecting.
Luna Allen has done some things she would rather no one ever know about. She also knows that, if she could go back in time, she wouldn’t change a single thing.
With three sisters she loves, a job she (mostly) adores, and a family built up of friends she’s made over the years, Luna figures everything has worked out the way it was supposed to.
But when one of those secrets involves the man who signs her paycheck, she can’t find it in her to regret it. Despite the fact that he’s not the friendliest man in the world. Or the most patient.
Sometimes there are things you’re better off keeping to yourself.
Number one overall Amazon Kindle best seller.

Disappointed
Just as I started to get addicted to Mariana Zapata's books, I discovered this one and I will have to take a break. Boring story, lame characters, lot of repeating. She has better books than this. It was really tiring and awfully long.

Not for me
Absolutely love Mariana Zapata but unfortunately this was definitely not it for me. Plot wasn't engaging enough, at a point didn't care at all what happened to the characters, and just couldn't connect with them. Onto the next MZ book but this one wasn't it for me.

So good
I really loved this book. I wasn't sure what I'd think of the two narrators, what with the book being from Luna's pov, but it just felt so right, and made the book even better.

Couldn't put it down
Love this book, which I wasn't expecting. I couldn't put it down. Lobe the natural and slow burn relationship between Luna and Rip too.

The Queen of slow burn does it again
Lucas ‘Rip’ Ripley, is very much an antihero - I loved him. He has difficulty expressing his feelings, he has a few issues with his temper, and gets noticeably riled up when he deals with sweet, upbeat Luna Allen. Luna who always looks on the bright side of life, who is always grateful for whatever she has, no matter what life throws at her. At times though she seemed a little bit naive and didn’t stand up for herself nearly enough. She has a complicated friendship with Rip, so many secrets, I loved their back and forth, very much a super slow burn. I wasn’t sure if they would ever get it on. Could have quite easily dropped a few chapters without losing any of the story. The audio narration (in duet), is brilliant thanks to Callie Dalton and Gomez Pugh.

4.5 stars
4.5 stars for the Queen of the slow burn. It's been a while since I have read anything by this author but I think this might be the slowest of all their slow burns. Not that I didn't enjoy it. I did. A lot. Luna and Rip are great! the friend group at the garage, are great. If I could have a Rip of my own, that would be beyond great!

So surprised!
After reading some reviews I didn’t think I was going to enjoy this book, but I was pleasantly surprised by it. I loved the narration and the story. Rip is one of those book boyfriends who will stay with me, and as with most of Mariana Zapata’s books, I will definitely read it (listen to it!) again!
