I love the way the author approaches this topic. Most attempts at describing depression include things that the person is doing wrong that is causing the depression or what drugs to take to fix the problem. Not this book. The author talks about simple changes people can make in order to avoid depression altogether. From getting more sunshine to exercising (OUTSIDE), to making sure that you are eating properly, this author covers it all. I really like his points in chapter 6 about defining boundaries and saying no to others when you need to make more time for yourself. Little things like that creep up on people over time until they feel overwhelmed and eventually depressed, but following this advice prevents a person from even getting to that point. This book is very well organized and simple to read and understand. Pick it up even if you AREN'T depressed! It is great advice to keep you from ever feeling that way.

I have suffered from depression for many years, but I am also a mental health officer at work. This is an issue that needs to be highlighted and this book does it very well. Great narration and packed with helpful advice. Highly recommend.

I loved how this book provides its easy-to-understand 7 ways to deal with depression. After listening to this book, I feel confident that if someone is struggling with depression, they could get their life back by following the provided steps.

This book gave me very practical tips on how to deal with depression. It does cover the theory but more importantly for me it gave actionable steps which I could put into practice right away.
