 Dopo l'agguato al Lovers Hotel, Gillo è in ospedale, in coma. Anna non ha però nessuna intenzione di arrendersi. Anna contatta in carcere Vincenzina Cappelli, ex socia di Roveda. Anni prima, Vincenzina aveva fatto una scenata durante il matrimonio di Roveda con Laura Pozzi. Vincenzina racconta ad Anna che Roveda era innamorato di un'altra donna, Marcella Vizzini. E' lei la chiave del mistero.

Oggi Marcella vive col marito Renzo Simonetti. Renzo era stato l'amico e socio storico di Roveda. Dopo un terribile incidente, Renzo rimase paralizzato ma Roveda continuò ad occuparsi di lui. E Renzo continuò ad occuparsi dell'archivio. Anna promette a Vincenzina che la aiuterà a uscire di prigione. Anna va dai Simonetti e scopre finalmente la verità sull'archivio e sul delitto.

Dopo aver fatto arrestare Zeller e Laura Pozzi, Anna li interroga per scoprire a chi Roveda voleva vendere l'archivio. Laura, sicura della protezione dei servizi segreti, non parla. Zeller invece cede e confessa. Roveda stava per vendere l'archivio ad Amir Besic, un imprenditore vicino all'Isis. Anna non può far altro che riferire questa novità al suo capo, Nicola Maceratini.
